The Bearded One & I often receive complements on how cute the Tiny Human is or how blue his eyes are, it wasn't till this evening that I realized how little there is in the way of response.
Normally we smile & nod or agree with the person. This evening while in the checkout line at the supermarket the lady behind us commented that the Tiny Human has "such beautiful blue eyes" and I responded with a "Thank you". After I uttered the words they just hung in the air, all awkward and weird.
What do you say when someone says your baby has "such beautiful eyes"? If a person was to complement you on your eyes you would say "thank you", but is it weird to say thank you if the complement is for you baby?
I think we may have to experiment and see if this was a one off occurrence.
