Winter is upon us, so it's time for some good belly warming tucker and treats. Growing up chocolate self-saucing pudding was made by Aunt Betty, but the bearded one grew up with his nana making it.
Now the bearded one makes it for us on those cold nights or those times that we just want something a bit special. It isn't his nana's recipe, but it's homemade rather than packaged and on a supermarket shelf.
The great thing about this recipe is that it is perfect to take to a friends place for dinner if you are providing pudding. Mix the 'cake' part of the recipe at home & put dry sauce ingredients into measure jug and take it with you. Add the hot water (as per-recipe) to the sauce mix when at your dinner destination & bake.
No friend is going to object to a chocolate self-saucing pudding being baked in their oven, especially if they get to eat it as well.
