In the past we have brought a set of teaspoons because six wasn't enough; especially when you're not doing the dishes everyday or you just have multiple cups of tea or coffee a day.
The Tiny Human was suffering a similar problem with bowls and I was tired of having to wash a particular bowl every meal time. So while at The Warehouse a week or so ago I picked up some Ikea Kalas Bowls.
Kalas Bowls come in a six pack of assorted colours (green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue), are dishwasher (up to 70°C) & microwave (heat food up to 100°C) safe and can be stacked so they take up less space (always a bonus).
They are the perfect size for the Tiny Human and there is more than enough space to fit his meal. The best thing about them being plastic & microwaveable is you don't need to worry about the bowl being too hot, but as always check the contents of the bowl is suitable. Today I made the Tiny Human scrambled eggs straight in the bowl, super quick, easy and much less mess.
Kalas Bowls are $6 for six bowls, which is pretty good; just don't look on the Ikea website, the price will just make you sad. There are also Kalas plates, mugs and cutlery (all on my must buy list), although it is only available in store so you may want to call ahead to check your local warehouse stock them.
