From time to time while feeding, there is a flicker of devil child that flashes across my sweet boys face and then he bites. The grin on his face after he bites proves that he's a cheeky monkey and knows what he is doing.
This has been happening for a while now, since his first tooth came through; we're now at six teeth, with seven and eight probably not far away and the nipping and biting is probably at an all time high this week.
Time and again when the Tiny Human bites while feeding I have tried the holding him to me trick. The theory is you hold or pull your little one towards you, they will think they will suffocate, associate biting with this and not do it anymore.
So far this trick hasn't worked and the Tiny Human thinks it is a game, after all he is smart enough to know that I wouldn't do any harm to him.
Last night he nipped me again, so I changed sides and yet again he nipped. This time I tried a different tactic, I took the Tiny Human off me and closed the bar.
He was not impressed by the turn of events and after about 2minutes of having a hissy about it all and looking very sorry, I let him back on, there was no biting and he fell asleep soon after.
More field testing of this method is needed, but I believe this could be the way to go.
