So far today I've showered, changed the tiny human out of his pajamas, put on a load of washing, done the dishes, hung out the load of washing, have a pot of stock on the stove doing it's thing and that was all before midday.
Some days I'm far more productive than other. Some days its a lot easier to be productive.
I've been asked how I manage to get house work done with the Tiny Human. I really make use of the time and have started a bit of a routine with the Tiny Human, which is a big help.
I'm really not a fan of house work and I know I'm not the only one.

Our our current morning routine goes like this...
From here it depends what kind of a day the Tiny Human is having and if I feel like doing anything. If I'm feeling motivated then I put the Tiny Human in his bouncinette and get on with the tasks at hand; put on a load of washing, wash a pile of dishes etc etc.
During this mornings tasks the Tiny Human was in his bouncinette while I did the dishes & hung out the washing (took him outside with me while I hung it up). Our place is small and there is only one doorway that works with the Jolly Jumper (in the bathroom, which is off the kitchen), so until this morning the Tiny Human hadn't used it, and I thought it was a good opportunity to get in some quality Jolly Jumper time since preparing the stock was going to take some time. The Tiny Human loved being in his Jolly Jumper, I could keep an eye on him, he was happy and it meant I didn't need to rush what I was doing.
I think that would be my one piece of advice for getting lots of things done when you have a window of opportunity, make use of things like bouncers if your wee one is awake and talk to them, let them know what you're doing (washing plates or how many things you have left to wash).
If they become restless or start crying, let them know you're finishing up what you're doing and then give them the attention they need. It's not a big deal if you don't get everything done, just do what you can and don't be so hard on yourself.
- Wake up, change nappy
- Make morning coffee & breakfast
- Feed (boob) the Tiny Human
- Short nap for the Tiny Human
- Put on Elvis Greatest Hits and inform the Tiny Human it's my shower time
- Place the Tiny Human in his bed to jiggle around to the music while I shower
- Change the Tiny Human into his clothes for the day
